Attaullah H. Kundi

20+ years’ experience. Kundi is a hardcore litigation and arbitration lawyer. He is heading the litigation department of KUNDI & MISBAH. His experience includes trying cases in the High Courts and the District Courts. He has extensively worked on numerous contentious issues for and on behalf of many organizational clients and has advised them on various projects. He is widely acknowledged for his deep understanding of the legal procedures specially for getting specific reliefs, injunctions and declarations from courts and his in-depth knowledge of the substantive laws relating to contracts, property and regulatory laws.

EXPERIENCE

Kundi, as the senior advocate of KUNDI & KUNDI Advocates & Legal Consultants, has handled hundreds of cases at District and High Courts level. He remained there from August 2007 to August 2016. His scope of work also included tendering legal advice and opinions to clients in multiple areas of law including contract, company/corporate and general business/commercial laws.
He has closely worked with head of the firm, former Chief Justice of Peshawar High Court, Justice (r) Abdul Karim Kundi, assisting him in litigation before the apex court of the country i.e. Supreme Court of Pakistan. His work included preparation and drafting of Civil Appeals and Civil/Criminal Petitions for Leave to Appeal etc. Benefiting from his past trial advocacy experience in both civil and criminal law, he has also assisted in filing and arguing Criminal Appeals and Revisions before the Federal Shariat Court.
He is an Advocate at the Panel of Law and Justice Division of the Federal Government since 2009. He represents the Federal Government, its Ministries and attached departments mostly before the Federal Service Tribunal, Islamabad and before the District Courts in Islamabad.
He also remained Federal Counsel for Pakistan from February 2009 to October 2009. In this role, he has represented the Federal Government, its Ministries and attached departments, mostly before the Islamabad High Court and before the Federal Service Tribunal. The matters in which he represented Federal Government included the Constitutional as well as Criminal. On Criminal side, his role was as a prosecutor for the State. In this role, he has defended and represented the State in Criminal appeals filed by convicts, criminal revision petitions filed by accused person from the orders passed by Sessions/ Additional Sessions Judges, and bail petitions filed by accused person.
Kundi is in the practice of law from December 2001 and is involved in hardcore trial advocacy work in general civil, commercial and criminal law.
